First Visit

Complete oral health care comprises not only of the elimination of existing dental diseases, but the ultimate goal of prevention.

The entire comprehensive evaluation process may take place over multiple visits. Certainly, if you have immediate concerns or an urgent need, we will address those issues prior to leading you through the entire evaluation.

At your initial visit, new patients receive a thorough dental examination consisting of:

  • Analyzing of Medical and Dental History
  • Necessary X-Rays
  • Complete Oral Examination, including soft tissue, bite, esthetic
  • Intra-Oral Camera Tour
  • Periodontal Probing Evaluation
  • The requirements for children will vary according to age and condition

Upon completion of the examination, you will be invited to schedule a subsequent appointment to discuss the findings and how to best proceed with treatment that meets your goals and objectives. We also schedule future appointments, discuss estimated fees, payment plans and financial arrangements.

On your first visit please bring some personal data and medical background information for our records:

Arrange for a copy of old x-rays to be sent to your new dentist prior to the appointment. Those records will enable the new dentist to check the last documented condition of your teeth prior to you visit.

Please bring a list of current medications you are currently taking or are allergic to. If you have a condition that requires pre-medication. Please take your medication as prescribed by your family doctor.

Please bring all insurance information (name of insurance company and policy number) so we can assist you in filling out your form and/ or sending your claims electronically.
